Falling Ginkgo Open Work Vessel

This tall vase begins by being turned upside down, literally, and being painted with fire. Pyro engraved, metal leafed and open carved at the top and around the branches of leaves and stems.

The ancient ginkgos longevity takes it back to prehistoric times when the dinosaur roamed the earth and is known to be the oldest living tree in the world.

The range of colors of the leaves are shown with a chartreuse green indicating spring and summer. The body of this piece is jet black and is finished with several applications of a satin protective coating.
