Grace Turquoise & Blue Vessel with Black Bamboo Handle

Grace depicts two cranes as they view the moon. In many cultures, cranes represent, longevity, loyalty and prosperity. Bamboo is used as a handle on this vessel and symbolizes beauty, resilience, elegance and integrity.

A tall body gourd from Southern California has been cut, cleaned and finished with care, the image has been first burned on the surface with a heated blade, then hand painted. Metal variegated leafing was applied and sealed.
