3 sprays of Japanese maple leaves adorn this turban squash shaped vessel that measure 14 inches long at the reeded lid, 9 inches deep and 9 inches tall that is topped with a removable natural reed lid.

Each leaf is painted in layers to show the luminous colors of fall in our gardens. I begin most of my fall pieces in the summer, when I long for the cooler weather. Most of my Japanese maple vessels are a reminder that the crisper days and the onset of the season of going within are approaching. Fall can be a season of renewal, a time for clarity, for gratitude and thanks giving.
