Fall’s Final Dance is a tall body gourd, grown in Southern California. The shape was very curvy at the top, cutting it and reconnecting the pieces formed the look of a neck and shoulders. Adornment is a simple spray of the most luscious fall colors enhanced with a gilded underlayment and layers of transparent color.
It was a delight to create and celebrate my favorite regional season. The fall reminds me that our area is a delightfully full, four-season location that I treasure. Fall, being a refreshing reprieve from the summer heat is, indeed, my favorite season and this vessel surely has a piece of my heart, as do all of them.
Protected with a matte finish UV polyurethane on the body and a gloss finish on the leaves. Like all fine art, keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.
