The Ginkgo Biloba tree is a survivor of an entire genus of related trees, and therefore truly in a class all by itself. Fossil records indicate this tree flourished before and during the dinosaur era. Unlike the dinosaurs, and many other life forms, Ginkgo Biloba survived virtually unchanged.
This piece was created, through chemical reaction and fate, it splintered with many fractures.That “imperfection” offered me an opportunity to practice the art appreciation and repair in the use of gold, rendering the imperfection into a more precious element of art.
